In essence the Tech 10 motocross boots without the inner bootie, the Alpinestars Tech 7 returns for the new year completely revised and more impressive than ever. Visibly thinner compared to its past self, the Tech 7 shares the improvements made to the Tech 10 to greatly improve its interface with the bike, footpegs and levers. Additional flex has been worked into the sole and a floating shin plate helps better tailor the fit to different leg thicknesses. The hook and lock buckle system is a real highlight and allows for the quickest and easiest buckle closure ever seen in motocross. Note that the Tech 7 Enduro boots come with an off-road specific sole (think hiking boot style). A small change but don’t discount the benefit this has when walking around off the bike. For the enduro and dual sport rider this is a huge advantage.
